Though this is a comic font, I do think more construction and consistency is necessary for this font to work. The letters 'y' and 'a' are huge compared to the other letters, and 'i' and 't' in particular are too small. The line weight is also inconsistent, and you haven't taken into consideration that letters shouldn't only have to look good on their own, but also in combination with other letters. For example, the ascender of the 'f' is so small that it almost creates a closed loop with the horizontal stroke, particularly when the 'f' is next to the 'o'. Also, kern the font more loosely. Especially at small sizes, the negative spaces will disappear and the text will become hard to read, not to mention there won't be a consistent rhythm anymore.
